Manager, Community Engagement, Epicenter Memphis
Kerri Malone joined Epicenter in 2018 as the Manager, Community Engagement. In this role, Kerri manages Epicenter’s core Intake program, which is focused on the successful matching of entrepreneurs to provider organizations, programs, and resources based on unique business needs and identified system support. Within this role, she also identifies and manages strategies to engage more community-based entrepreneurs in the Memphis ecosystem.
Previously, Kerri held the position of Program Manager for the UrbanArt Commission, where she collaborated with Memphis-based community groups to manage the planning and implementation of public art programs in Memphis’ neighborhoods. Prior to her work in Memphis, Kerri was a Program Officer at the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation in Chicago, where she worked closely with various organizations and institutions that provided arts education resources in Chicago Public Schools. She has also worked as an arts coordinator for the City of Elgin in Illinois and has volunteered with several organizations in Chicago to support their community-based programs. Kerri received a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
